Do not inject, and contact Lynk, if any of these are true.
The liquid is cloudy or discolored, or has particles in it.El líquido está turbio o de otro color, o tiene partículas.
The vial is cracked or damaged.El frasco está roto o dañado.
It has been more than 28 days since you first used the vial, or it is past the date on your label.

Giving your injectionCómo aplicarse la inyección
Wash your hands. Wipe the top of the vial with an alcohol pad and let it dry.Lávese las manos.
Draw up exactly the number of units in your provider's message and on your label. See it on a syringe.
Choose a spot on your belly (at least 2 inches from your belly button), the front of your thigh, or the back of your upper arm. Use a different spot each time, at least 1 inch from the last one.
Clean the spot with alcohol and let it dry. Pinch the skin, insert the needle straight in, and push the plunger slowly.
Leave the needle in for 3 to 5 seconds, then pull it out slowly. This keeps the medication in the fat under your skin, so it does not follow the needle out and irritate the skin.
Put the needle and syringe straight into your sharps container. Write down the date of this injection.

From the day it arrives: keep it in the refrigerator, protect it from light, and do not freeze or shake it. Refrigeration starts when your package arrives, not when you take your first dose.
After opening: write the open date on your vial and throw it away 28 days after first use, even if medication is left. If your label shows an earlier beyond-use date (the pharmacy's use-by date), follow the earlier one.

Needle safety and disposalSeguridad y desecho de agujas
Use a new insulin needle and syringe for every injection. Never reuse them. Insulin syringes are the small, finely marked kind; the name does not mean your medication is insulin.
Never mix two medications in one syringe.
Put used needles and syringes straight into a rigid, puncture-resistant container. Sharps rules are set where you live and vary by state and city, so follow your local rules, and do not put needles loose in household trash. Find sharps disposal near you by ZIP code.
Mild reactions where you injectReacciones leves donde se inyecta
Some redness, mild swelling or itching can happen and usually settles in a day or two. It most often comes from pulling the needle out too fast, which lets a little of the added ingredient (such as vitamin B-12) reach the skin. Leaving the needle in for 3 to 5 seconds, pulling it out slowly, and using a different spot each time prevent most of it.Puede haber algo de enrojecimiento, hinchazón leve o comezón, y suele pasar en uno o dos días.
Contact Lynk if a reaction does not go away, keeps getting worse, or spreads. Trouble breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, is an emergency: call 911.Comuníquese con Lynk si una reacción no se quita, sigue empeorando, o se extiende.
Traveling with your medicationViajar con su medicamento
Traveling does not have to interrupt your treatment. Keep your medication with you, in your carry-on rather than checked baggage, in its original labeled vial or box. It does not need ice while you travel; keep it away from heat above 86°F (30°C) and from freezing, and put it back in the refrigerator when you arrive. Medication and syringes are allowed in carry-on bags, and TSA recommends keeping the pharmacy label visible. Crossing time zones can move your injection by a few hours without a problem. If you will be off your usual schedule for several days, contact Lynk.
TSA asks that you tell the officer at the start of screening that you are carrying medically necessary liquids; they may be inspected separately. TSA sets these rules and can change them, so check the current TSA rules before you fly.
